Who We Are:
At SearchLight, our mission is to connect fragmented data from various siloed platforms and tools to help Home Service Contractors more efficiently manage their digital marketing spend and operations. We originally began as a small team managing digital marketing campaigns, but quickly discovered a market gap in revenue attribution and went all-in on our vision to build an analytics and data platform to power the $650 billion home services vertical.
We are a bootstrapped software company founded in 2020 and have experienced explosive growth over the last few years.
The Home Services industry has embraced the need for more connected data and we’re here to fill that need. Come join us!
What We Do:
We work with individual contractors (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Roofing and more), Private Equity Firms, National Franchise Brands, Marketing Agencies, CRMs, and outbound marketing tools to configure, connect and visualize relevant data and KPIs from lead to revenue to help those businesses quantify performance and find areas for meaningful improvement.
We work with some of the most recognizable brands in the space with thousands of users leveraging our platform to make better and more informed decisions for their businesses.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Junior Data Analyst who is equal parts data-savvy, client-focused, and future-oriented.
This is a high-impact role supporting our consulting, marketing, and agency teams with deep data insights, trend analysis, and benchmark reporting.
You will own the data that fuels our client relationships — and help shape how we use AI to drive even greater insight and value.
You’ll work directly with our top consulting clients, translating data into stories that drive business decisions.
Over time, as we automate more manual tasks, we expect this role to grow into an even more client-facing consulting leader.
What You’ll Do
- Pull, clean, and organize marketing and business performance data (paid media, organic, CRM data, etc.)
- Build monthly and quarterly benchmark reports for consulting clients and subscribing agencies
- Produce trend and insight reports for consulting accounts
- Support custom reporting for enterprise clients
- Support marketing by creating visual assets (charts, simple infographics) that showcase client success and market trends
- Support event content, newsletters, and sales materials with compelling data stories
- Create and maintain monthly “Industry Reports” for our consulting portfolio
- Collaborate with marketing to support newsletters, campaigns, and event content with meaningful data insights
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis projects (e.g., business unit performance, conversion tools, lead generation insights)
- Assist in building repeatable “consulting views” and data templates
- Apply and iterate on AI tools and prompts to accelerate analysis and insights
- Participate in client meetings (weekly) — presenting insights and becoming a trusted data advisor
- Proactively spot trends and opportunities for clients to improve performance
- Contribute to shaping our long-term AI-infused consulting product vision
About You
- 0–4 years of professional experience in data analysis, consulting, or business analytics
- Strong experience working with business/marketing datasets (Excel/Google Sheets mastery required)
- Some exposure to AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or prompt engineering) — eager to expand and apply in real-world consulting
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Confident and polished in client-facing meetings and presentations
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Bonus: Experience with Looker, Tableau, BigQuery, or similar BI platforms, Econometrics coursework
